Changing Drop Down Field Values

You can change the values that appear in some of the custom EurekaWare drop down fields that are added to your Contacts/Campaign forms. Specifically you can modify these fields:

Contacts
General Tab
Contacts
To Buy Tab
Contacts
To Sell Tab
Campaign Template/Task
Campaign Tab
Source
Contact Status
Bathrooms
State
Status
Home Address State
Property Type
Exterior
Garage Size
Action

To change the default values of any of these fields, follow these steps:

  1. Select 'Edit Dropdown Controls' from the Eurekaware...Configuration menu.
  2. Find the field name for which you want to change some of the values. The field names are in brackets. The field values are listed below each field name.
  3. Change Drop Downs
  4. You can add, edit, or delete any field value from the list. Do not change the Field Name or modify the brackets in any way.

  5. Once you have made all desired changes, save your changes by selecting File > Save from the menu. Do not change the name of the “ewDropDowns.txt file.
  6. Open an Outlook contact form to see your changes.

Customizing the To Buy and To Sell Web Links

All of the Actions or web links on the bottom of the To Buy and To Sell forms can be changed to point to your favorite websites. You can even pass “parameters” to those sites so that information is automatically fed to the appropriate site. For example, EurekaWare finds listings that meet your buyer’s criteria by sending Realtor.com information from the To Buy form such as: minimum price, maximum price, square feet, city, state, bedrooms, bathrooms, and property type.

To change the default values of any of these web links, follow these steps:

  1. Select 'Edit Dropdown Controls' from the Eurekaware...Configuration menu.
  2. Find the web link that you want to change. The buttons are numbered from left to right and are surrounded by brackets.

  3. Web Links
  4. To change the name of the web link button, insert the name below the bracketed button number. For example: “name=EurekaWare”
  5. To change the URL that the button points to, add a new line below the name, such as “url=http://www.EurekaWare.com”
