Installation Instructions for Real Estate Contact Manager

EurekaWare Real Estate Contact Manager has been designed to be as easy as possible to install and use. To install this program:

  1. Make sure you have Microsoft Outlook 2003, or Outlook 2000 with Server Pack 3. This product does not run on Outlook Express.
  2. Please create a backup copy of your contacts. This will protect your contact information in the off chance something goes wrong during the installation of Eurekaware.
  3. If you are upgrading from a 1.x version of Eurekaware, please uninstall the old version first.  If you are upgrading from any version of Eurekaware, please make sure Outlook is closed before you start the install. 
  4. Also, be sure to disable your email anti-virus software and set your Outlook security settings to Medium. These programs sometimes prevent the full installation of EurekaWare.
  5. Download the file from the Eurekaware site by going to this page: www.eurekaware.com/realestate-download.asp.
  6. Fill out the form on the Download Software page. Download Screen
  7. Press Download when you are brought to the downloading page. download button
  8. Select Save when the File Download window appears to place the file on your hard disk. Do not select Run.

  9. Save setup.exe to a directory where you can find it. Make sure the file is called setup.exe.

  10. The setup program will download to your computer. Press Run when Download Complete appears.

  11. Press Run when the Open File Security Warning window appears. EurekaWare has not yet registered with Verisign to get a digital signature for our product, but we assure that it does not contain a virus.

  12. Press Next when the EurekaWare Setup Wizard appears. setup wizard
  13. Read the EurekaWare End User Licensing Agreement.
  14. If you agree to its terms, select I accept the agreement and press Next. eula
  15. Enter your Name and Company at the User Information screen. This information will appear on Marketing Templates generated by EurekaWare. The information is not shared with EurekaWare or anyone else.

  16. Press Next to select the default location for the EurekaWare program. Keeping the program location to its default will make support easier should you need it.

  17. Press Next to create a EurekaWare folder on your Start menu. The only item that will be listed in this folder is for Uninstallation of EurekaWare. EurekaWare starts automatically when you start Outlook.
  18. Press Install at the Ready to Install window

  19. After a few minutes to publish your new forms, the Convert Contacts window appears. It lists all Outlook folders that contain Contacts.
  20. Left Click in the box next to those folders you wish to convert to the new EurekaWare contact form. Then press Convert to begin processing your contacts. A check mark (√) indicates the folders that will receive the EurekaWare contact form.

  21. Press Finish when the Completing the EurekaWare Setup Window appears.

  22. You have installed EurekaWare!
  23. Start Outlook to enjoy your new features. Some versions of Outlook may display the following message when Outlook is restarted.  This was caused form the shutdown that took place during the EurekaWare install.  Allow Outlook to complete the check, and then Outlook will start normally.real estate software
  24. Press Continue when the EurekaWare shareware warning appears. You have 30 days to decide whether to purchase EurekaWare. nag screen
  25. You should now see EurekaWare as a menu item in the Outlook Menu.
  26. If you do not see the EurekaWare menu when you start, then the EurekaWare Add-In for Outlook was not loaded.  Learn how to fix this here. nag screen
