It is easy to import data from almost any other system. Here is an example of how to import from Top Producer.
From the home page at Top Producer, click the "set-up" link. Select "data transfer/conversion" and then "Export data". Then click "Next" to export all contacts. Specify which columns you wish to export and then click begin export. When the export is complete you will be asked where to save the file on your computer (save it to a place you will remember). You should save this file with a .csv suffix to designate that it is a comma separated file.
To make the import as smooth as possible, we have created a small utility to clean up the Top Producer data somewhat so it will import better into Outlook and EurekaWare. Download this program, the EurekaWare Conversion Utility, and run it using the file you save in step 1. The EurekaWare Conversion Utility will create an .xls file. Please note the location of this file. (This program requires that you have EurekaWare installed)
Run the Outlook import utility and specify that you are importing an Excel file. The mapping should all be set for you, but you can update them as you see fit. Here is an example of how the Microsoft Outlook import utility works. Make sure you import the newly created XLS file (not the CSV file created during the Top Producer export) that will be found in the same directory as the Conversion Utility.
This is a new utility please give us your feedback and let us know if it was helpful or if it did not meet your needs. Thanks!
