Converting Campaigns to Action Plans

In version 3.1, EurekaWare renamed Campaigns to Action Plans to clarrify how they can be used and eliminiate confusion.

This change will cause conflicts for users who have used Campaigns. We opted to spend precious development resources creating new functionality instead of writing a conversion utility. Unfortunately this means existing users will need to manually convert the Campaigns to Action Plans if they want to continue to use them. This page will walk through the process.

Move Campaign Tasks

Campaign Tasks have been moved to the root task folder to take advantage of built in Task Assignment capabilities of Outlook. If you have any outstanding tasks in the Campaign Tasks folder, you can simply move them to the Task folder by selecting all items in the Campaign Task forlder then Dragging them to the Task folder. This will make sure any future tasks with auto email options will automatically generate emails. If you don't have any auto email tasks and don't plan to use the assignment features of Outlook you can simply leave the Campaign Tasks where they are.

Re-Create Action Plans and Templates

Since Action Plans and Action Plan Templates have new fields, you can't just drag and drop Campaigns/Campaign Templates into ActionPlans/ActionPlan Templates folders. You will need to recreate the Action Plans individually. You can copy and paste the description fields from the Campaigns and Campaign Templates to Action Plan and Action Plan Templates.
