  • Does your product work with Microsoft Office 2007?
    Answer: Yes. EurekaWare Real Estate Contact Manager is certified with Microsoft Outlook 2003 & Outlook 2007. It also works with earlier versions, but those are not supported by Microsoft or EurekaWare. It works with personal, but not business contacts when running Business Contact Manager.

 

  • I bought the EurekaWare software. How come I never got my registration key?
    Answer: Your registration key was sent to your email upon purchase but this message is sometimes blocked by a spam filter. You can retrieve this key from the following webpage: http://www.eurekaware.com/forgot_regcode.asp. To activate your software, select Enter Registration Key from the Eurekaware menu.

 

  • Does it run on Microsoft Vista?
    Answer: Yes! EurekaWare works on Microsoft Vista and XP. Eurekaware also works on previous versions of the Windows Operating System but these version are not supported by Microsoft or EurekaWare.

 

 

  • Error: The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator
    Answer: From the Outlook menu, choose Tools> Options> Other>Advanced Options> Custom Forms> Manage Forms> Clear Cache. This should correct the situation. Alternatively, find and delete the file frmcache.dat on the computer that's having the problem. This is a Microsoft Outlook issue that happens when when a user attempts to republish a custom form while users are logged into Outlook or have the form open.

 

  • How do I buy EurekaWare products?
    Answer: You can purchase our products from our web site with a credit card or your PayPal account.

 

  • What happens after the 30 day trial period?
    Answer: If you have not registered your EurekaWare product, it will automatically delete itself from Microsoft Outlook when the trial period is complete. You may purchase a fully licensed version on this web site.

 

  • Eurekaware is not working correctly. How do I detect and resolve the problem?
    Answer: You can resolve most technical problems by using our Troubleshooting Tool.

 

  • How do I contact EurekaWare for support?
    Answer: 

    Please follow these guidelines first before contacting us:

    • Use our troubleshooting tool to diagnose and resolve common technical problems.
    • Search or post a question to the Customer Forum. This is reviewed by EurekaWare customers and Technical support personnel.
    • Review our online user manual. This document will show you how to use EurekaWare.

  • Does EurekaWare work with Plaxo?
    Answer: Yes. Install EurekaWare and Convert the Contact folders in which you want use the EurekaWare form. Then install, or re-install Plaxo. Any changes to the address information of your Plaxo contacts will be visible on the EurekaWare form. However, the Plaxo add-in to the standard Outlook form will not be visible.

 

  • Can I customize the EurekaWare contact form?
    Answer: Yes. The EurekaWare contact form for Outlook is password protected. However, we are happy to provide the password to individuals who purchase our product. If you have knowledge about how to customize Outlook forms, this may be an option for you. However, keep in mind that EurekaWare cannot provide support on the customization process or for parts of the form that have been changed by your customizations.

 

  • What versions of Outlook does EurekaWare support?
    Answer: EurekaWare works with Outlook version 2003. It does not work with Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2002. EurekaWare does not work with not those contacts stored in your Business Contacts folder when running Business Contact Manager. It is highly recommended that you get all service pack updates from Microsoft at this site: Microsoft Office Updates

 

  • Can I load EurekaWare on more than one computer?
    Answer: Yes. You can install our software on up to 3 computers as long as it is for your own personal use. Sharing a license with other people is not permitted. As a fellow small businessperson, we appreciate your willingness to respect this restriction.

 

  • Does EurekaWare run on Outlook Express?
    Answer: No. The EurekaWare Real Estate Contact Manager requires Microsoft Outlook, which is a different, more robust program than Outlook Express.

 

  • Does this program sync with Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Palm or Pocket PC handheld devices?
    Answer: If your mobile device currently syncs the standard Outlook contact fields such as Name, Address, Phone number, they will continue to sync with your mobile device. However, EurekaWare's added fields such as MLS number, School districts, etc will not sync to your mobile device.

 

  • How can I share contacts with another computer and keep them synchronized?
    Answer: EurekaWare customizes the Outlook contacts form. If you are running Microsoft Exchange, you can create Public Folders to share EurekaWare Contacts. Click here for more information.
    If you do not have Microsoft Exchange, there are a number of solutions on the market that can help you share contacts with another computer. We have customers that have reported good success with ShareO. Click the image for more information about this product:

  • Does EurekaWare work with Microsoft Outlook Business Contact Manager?
    Answer: No. Eurekaware replaces the need for Business Contact Manager. You must remove Business Contact Manager in order to use EurekaWare.

 

  • I can't remember my registration key.
    Answer: For EurekaWare 2.x & 3.x users, you can retrieve your registration code by clicking About EurekaWare in the Eurekaware...Help menu.
    If you are reinstalling or you are a 1.x user, go here to have your registration key sent to you.

 

  • Is EurekaWare compatible with the iTunes plug-in?
    Answer: No. When iTunes is installed on a pc, Apple automatically adds a plug-in to Outlook. Apparently the purpose is to enable syncing of contacts to an iPod. However, we have seen compatability issues between the iTunes plug-in and EurekaWare. To disable it: click Tools > click Options > click the Other tab > click the Advanced Options button > click on the Add-in Manager button > To disable an add-in, clear the check box next to the add-in. Then Press OK. To remove an add-in, clear the check box next to the add-in you want to remove, and then click Remove.
